After Dental Implant Surgery
Dental implants are a great way to replace tooth loss. After surgery, patients must take care of their new dental implant for at least the first month as it takes time and healing process before fully integrating with bone cells in order not irritate or damage this area. Throughout these first few days following surgery there will be some extra instructions that you need follow:
What does recovery involve?
While each patient’s case is different, recovery after dental implant surgery happens in a series of phases. With your new implants it's important to maintain proper oral hygiene and make sure they stay clean for the tooth root canal process which can take up six months or longer depending on how fast you heal from extraction first!
When maintaining proper hygiene, oral discomfort should lessen with time. Bruising, swelling, and minor bleeding may still occur. If any pain does continue, continue using the pain medications.
Healing time varies depending on the procedure that is done on them. Your recovery timeframe will depend on your individual case and treatment plan; follow-up appointments will be scheduled accordingly.
