Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are custom made tooth shaped porcelain that is bonded onto the front of your teeth to create a beautiful and attractive smile.

Veneers can turn your smile into the confident one you've always wanted it to be. They are often an ideal option for treating many different dental conditions and should be considered as an alternative to crowns in some cases.

Veneers are a temporary measure to make your smile more appealing. They will not last forever and may need replacement in the future, but they do give you an attractive appearance for many years with proper care.

Reasons for porcelain veneers:

  • Cosmetically, to create a uniform, white, beautiful smile.
  • Crooked teeth.
  • Misshapen teeth.
  • Severely discolored or stained teeth.
  • Teeth that are too small or large.
  • Unwanted or uneven spaces.
  • Worn or chipped teeth.

What does getting porcelain veneers involve?

Getting veneers usually requires two visits to complete the process, with little or no anesthesia required during each procedure. The teeth are prepared by lightly buffing and shaping them so that they will fit over your existing Teeth mold of their shape is taken before any coloration takes place; this ensures an exact match in shade (color).

The second visit is when your dentist will clean and seal the teeth with bonding cement to create a durable bond. A special light beam hardens this temporary filling, which lasts about six weeks before being replaced by permanent veneers!

Your veneers will need special care instructions. Brush your teeth twice a day and make sure you floss regularly to keep them healthy.
